2014 Agenda

PechaKucha

In addition to our editors and guest speakers taking the stage, we've added something new this year called PechaKucha. PechaKucha 20x20 is a simple presentation format where you show 20 images, each for 20 seconds. The images advance automatically and you talk along to the images. PechaKucha originated in Tokyo in 2003 and PechaKucha Nights are now held in 534 cities worldwide. We have an official "Powered by" license to hold PechaKucha in conjunction with the CU Water Cooler Symposium. We even have an official page where the final presentations will be posted after our event.

Get involved

There are six PechaKucha speaking slots available for our attendees. If you are coming to the Symposium and think you've got something interesting to share, submit your idea today. We ask that your session be informative and fun and not a commercial for your services. The deadline to submit is June 30. In addition to our three initial picks, we'll take a look at all additional submissions and pick three more that we feel are a good fit for the event.

We've named our first three PechaKucha speakers! From left to right:

  • Linda Bodie, Chief + Innovator at Element FCU in West Virginia
  • Jamila Draper, Consultant at Mirasu Consulting Services in Trinidad
  • Laura Woods, Marketing Communications Manager at 1st Financial Federal Credit Union in Missouri
