SXSW 14: Day 1 Recap

Once again, Matt DavisGene Blishen and I are attending the 21st annual SXSW Interactive Festival in Austin, Texas.

"Part musical festival, part film festival, part tech-head confab, SXSW is a unique event in the pop-culture firmament, bringing massive stars and indie up-and-comers in music, movies, and tech together in the Texas hill country of Austin." – Entertainment Weekly

Think brain food on steroids. This is my third year and I plan to make it an ongoing annual occurrence. With close to 30,000 attendees and more than 3,000 speakers, it's an overload of stimulation, information, learning and experience. It's impossible to experience everything, so you have to pick and choose your adventure. As we did last year, each night, Matt, Gene and I are sitting down to record a video recap of what we saw and how it could possibly relate to the credit union world.

Please excuse the background noise in the front half of the video. We'll look for a quieter spot tonight!
