Linda Bodie is the Chief Innovator at Element Federal Credit Union. She began her career with Element in 1998. Prior to working with Element, she worked in public accounting and corporate accounting.
Linda has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Glenville State College and a Master of Science degree in Technology Management from Marshall University Graduate College.
Linda has transformed Element from a traditional banking environment to one that is innovative, personal and interactive. She has developed processes including digitizing 99% of the paper at her credit union, streamlining a multitude of business processes via technology and implementing electronic check deposit services. Her most impressive accomplishment was co-developing and deploying the world’s first remote deposit capture iPhone application in July 2009.
Linda is active in her community and is involved in projects that promote human rights, equality and justice and ways to serve others in her community. She loves making a difference in the lives of others and relishes being creative and a little wild in her methods.
Linda has been a board member with CU Answers, a CUSO and a cooperative data processor, since 2013. She has served on the Filene Research Council since 2013. She is also an advisory board member of Chatter Yak, a CUSO specializing in social media and marketing services for credit unions.
