Last October, I had a profound experience when I presented on the topic of raising an Autistic child at the CU Water Cooler in Kansas City, Missouri. I had never given a talk about my family's experience with Autism, so I was nervous about it.
Trevor (not his real name) is a 31-year-old med school graduate with over $500,000 in student loans. He just moved home with his Mom in San Diego while he tries to find a residency to further his medical training. But, just like half of the med school grads in the United States this year, he's been unable to find a hospital to take him on.

This was probably one of the best Symposiums put on. Why? The venue and weather were great which always helps. There was some people that haven’t been there for awhile so it was good to see them. But it was the speakers. They spoke with such a degree of earnestness, thought and pragmatism.
The 6th annual CU Water Cooler Symposium held in Kansas City on October 1 and 2 has come to a close. Each year, we proclaim it to be the best yet and this year was no exception.
